Hello my names is James Pfeifer and everyone else has a web site, so I figured, why
not me too? On this site I'll describe myself and share my interests and ideas. Please sign my Guest Book and tell me what
you think before you leave.
I was born in Springfield Missouri. My father had just started the first ever recording
studio in the area called The House of Sound. The reason he choose this name was because the studio was located in the house
that we lived in. My father was also involved the T.V. show Ozark Jubilee as well as the Beverly Hillbillies while I was an
infant. Later he began working at Silver Dollar City, a local theme park, where he was in charge of Sound and Maintenance
for ten years.
I attended school in a small town called Reeds Spring in Missouri. My brother and
I were the first set of twins to enroll in the new elementary school. I thought that was pretty cool at the time. They featured
us in a commercial for Silver Dollar City which was pretty cool cause we got to spend the whole day at a theme park for the
first time as a kindergarten student. After school we would have about an hour bus ride to our house.
Sometimes after school I would meet up with dad at Silver Dollar City and ride the
rides until it was time for him to get off work. Also as new rides would come into the park it was my brothers and sisters
and I that got to Test Ride them. This was a fun time for me except when the Log Ride came. We had a total of seven of us
in one log and we ended up going through the ride about 15 times before the water level was set right so that the brake system
would work correctly.
In October of 1980 we moved North to Springfield Missouri. This was a big change for me and my
family because we had been in a small country town until now. Springfield Missouri was a LOT bigger and the school system
was a lot different. It took me a while to adapt to the changes. I was enrolled in the Hickory Hills Elementary school where
I was able to take my current computer skills and put them to good use. I was able to assist kindergarten students learn how
to read and write via computer programs.
My Highschool years were spent at Glendale High. I was able to learn about a lot of different
subjects and decide what field I was most likely to enter after I graduated. I ended up working at a local public television
station before the end of my senior year. The station offered me a full time position so I decided to drop out of school and
work full time. I was also going to private school part time and achieve getting my GED before I would have graduated from
Glendale High so it all worked out for the best.
I am currently working as a Volunteer Fireman / First Responder for my local fire dept. I just
recently started working for this particular dept in Lawrence County Missouri and enjoy it so much. I will be taking some
EMT classes is Sept thru St. Johns. I hope to become the best First Responder that I can be and plan to give 110% of my abilities
to this department. I got interested in this via a long lost friend of mine who saw me singing in a club a while back. I thank
him for this opportunity because it has completely change my life.
